Teaching
Sarah has been teaching the flute and music theory throughout the Greater Manchester area and further afield for nearly ten years. She has worked for the local music service, in schools, privately and for specialist music schools and courses (RNCM Junior School, Yorkshire Young Musicians, Flute Kitchen Summer Course).
She has experience of working with a wide variety of people: children and adults, complete beginners and advanced students (LRSM level), special needs and mainstream pupils, individuals and groups. Sarah has an up-to-date Criminal Records Bureau Check, and regularly attends professional development training.
Lessons can be simply for fun and learning a new skill, or can be focussed on reaching a specific goal. Many of Sarah’s pupils enter ABRSM exams, local and national competitions and play in local ensembles. She also organises a concert each year for her pupils to perform as soloists or in small ensembles.
